Sat, 4 March 2006 The FloodCast! Listen in as Charlie and Kelly deal with a massive water leak in their house that occured while they were in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Share the thrills and chills of destruction and restoration! Comments[0] |
Fri, 3 March 2006 Well, the Jackson Hole SnowCast has been on hold recently as I have been working on what I call the FloodCast. Upon our return from Wyoming, we discovered that we had a huge water leak in the house while we were out of town. As I type this, we are living in a very nice guest suite at a friend's house, all of our belongings have been moved out of our house and stored, most of our hardwood floors have been ripped out, and a lot of sheetrock ceiling has been pulled down. Our own little hurricane hit while we were out of town and destroyed (with the help of mold) a big chunk of our house! So, we are refugees in our own town. Repairs are moving forward quickly, and the house has dried out nicely. Now, the Air Conditioning contractor can replace the water filled lines (our Air conditioning registers are on the floor), the insulation has been ripped out, the hardwood floors can go back in as soon as the contractor can find some, and the sheet rock can go back up. So, I will soon post a FloodCast that will allow you to share the fun of major water leaks with us. Keep checking in, love life and keep listening. Wed, 15 February 2006 Our last day in Jackson Hole! Kelly and I fly out today, headed back to the East Coast. Jackson Hole has been fun, but it has been cold. For the time we have been here, we have been under a high pressure system that has prevented any new snow and has kept temperatures in the freakin' freezing cold range. Our coldest morning so far was negative nineteen (F not C). Needless to say, we were not first on the mountain that day. Now that we are leaving, it is snowing like crazy. Still, it has been a great trip. I am nonetheless looking forward to getting home. I'm just a east coast Beach living kind of guy, and I am looking forward to feeling my toes again. I have some great footage for the next SnowCast, but it will take me some time to edit it down (not to mention some time to settle back in to being home). I love snowboarding, and love the mountains, but I can't wait to get home where a cold day is in the 50's. Hopefully, our flight out of here won't be held up. Hopefully, we will get through Chicago without trouble. Hopefully, we will get into Atlanta easily. Keep your fingers crossed. Check back soon, and keep listening!

Sun, 5 February 2006 Kelly and I leave tomorrow morning for Jackson Hole Wyoming. I will get some good material for a Jackson Hole SnowCast, but there will be nothing for a while. Bear with me, and I will have something good for you in a few weeks. Hang in there, you can make it a few more weeks without a new snowcast. Category: general -- posted at: 9:39 PM Comments[0] |

Sat, 14 January 2006 Kelly and I returned from Colorado late Wednesday. Among all the other post vacation activities (unpacking, cleaning the house, doing laundry, ...) I have been compiling the audio from Breckenridge and Vail, but it has taken a lot of time. Hopefully, tonight or tomorrow I will post the snowcast version of the Chronicles and take all of you along with us on our trip to Breck and Vail. At the same time, I hope to have photos to post on the website, www.frogmanchronicles.com. The website is now operational! It isn't very exciting yet, but it is up! So check out the website, and keep an eye out for the new Chronicle - the Colorado snowcast! Talk to you soon. -Frogman- Category: general -- posted at: 1:31 PM Comments[0] |
Mon, 2 January 2006 SHOW NUMBER ONE!
Polyhexunpip by Astonishing Sod Ape, New Year, new podcast, Christmas, Illness, Baby, Kelly, Kinky Girlfriend by 10 Shot, Christmas, Local Politics, Pumped Up with Overnight and NV Danger by Nu Breed, Say Hey to Jason and Lauren, Geoff and Jean, Rog and Chris, and all the rest of my Family and Friends.
It was a rough Christmas, with too much travel and too many crap gifts, and you can find out more details in the Podcast. I could not get into Christmas this year, and I am glad the holidays are over! My wife and leave for a snowboarding trip to Breckenridge in a few days, so I will hopefully do a podcast from Breckenridge, Colorado next week! I can't wait to listen to some good music (anything other than Christmas Carols), get back on my Arbor Snowboard for the first time this season, ride the new peak lift at Breck with Kelly, and ride beautiful deep powder runs with Kelly. Just to be out there, in the mountains of Colorado (although the new peak chair tops out at something close to 14,000 feet... that may take a notch or two out of my enthusiasm as I wheeze my way down the mountain). The only thing missing will be some of our best friends, but we will have the chance to hook up with some good new friends while we are out there. If you are in Breck or Vail in the next ten days or so, and you see a short, stocky guy on a sweet Arbor board (the topsheet is beautiful Koa wood, you can't miss it), with a shaved head, and a tiny little wife riding with him, come up and say hey, because it will probably be me.
By the way, there is amazing music on the Podsafe Music Network at music.podshow.com. The three songs from the show tonight were:
Polyhexunpip by Astonishing Sod Ape
Kinky Girlfriend by 10 Shot
Pumped Up with Overnite and NV Danger by Nu Breed
Check them all out at the PMN!
Happy New Year Everybody! It's great to be alive, and 2006 should be a great year for living! Please keep listening and stay in touch! Talk to you from Breckenridge! Comments[0] |
